OUR STORY
Hi, we are Edi and Paolo from Florence! We are a couple of teachers and we have two daughters. We love hospitality, art, good food and above all....cooking!
We decided to open our home to travellers to share our traditional cooking recipes and passion for high quality food!
​We strive to make our guests feel an authentic and exclusive italian experience!

Edi
I was born in Florence and grew up in Pomino, a small village in the middle of Tuscany hills. My best memories are those of Sundays spent watching my grandmother Nonna Nella start early in the morning making fresh pasta for all the family. Nonna Nella was always eager to share the tricks and tips that had been handed down to her, with the youger generation. As a good Italian grandmothers, she showed love with food....a plate of tagliatelle with a huge amount of ragù sauce meant "I LOVE YOU".
When I was 25 I graduated in Philosophy and I started to teach at college but the passion for food was too strong, so I decided to quit my job and join my two passions: teaching and food. Cooking and sharing stories about the history of Nonna Nella recipes. Here it is the idea of cooking class!
Paolo
I am a Florentine guy, I grew up and studied in Florence surrounded by the magnificence and extraordinary beauty of this city. Since I was youg, when I came back from school, my grandmother waited for me at home with delicious lunches made by her with so much love and passion. At the age of 24, after graduating in Chemistry, I left my beautiful Florence and started traveling the world for work, especially in the United States and France. Every time I came home there was my grandmother waiting for me with her delicacies, it was her way of telling me: "Welcome back! I missed you!"
When I returned to Italy, I've settled down in the small village of Pomino and I decided to join my family history in kitchen, my experience abroad, my passion for teaching and my love for chemistry......The result? Cooking class in Tuscany!!
